Van der Vorm co-signs for 2485 homes in Oud-Beijerland!
To meet the current and future demand for housing, 8 market parties signed an outline agreement with the Municipality of Oud-Beijerland. On behalf of Van der Vorm, @Sico van Ammers and @Brian Martens were present. The realization of Stougjeswijk is one step closer. Sustainability in the broad sense is of course an extremely important principle, and accessibility is central. Of the nearly 2,500 homes, 70% will be in the affordable segment, including 30% social housing. Van der Vorm thus adds a large number of ground-level rental homes in the middle segment to its portfolio.
"Stougjeswijk is needed to meet the current and future demand for housing," says Alderman Robin Heij. "We want Stougjeswijk to be a nice place to live and to contribute positively to the wishes we have for the Hoeksche Waard in the areas of Living, Welfare & Care and sustainability. A future-proof and green neighborhood with houses and apartments for different target groups, such as buyers, tenants, starters, people moving on and seniors. What I like about this plan is that it meets the needs of different groups of people. We are not only building housing there, but above all we are realizing an attractive residential and living environment. And with the construction of good cycle paths and the arrival of a separate fast R-net bus lane, we are connecting Stougjeswijk with the rest of the area," continued Alderman Robin Heij.
Market participants expect to start construction in 2024. Completion of the first homes is expected in 2025. The goal is to have the R-net bus lane in place when the first homes are delivered. In 2039 the last homes are expected to be delivered and Stougjeswijk will be completely finished.
