Description

Shopping centre De Gaard is a contemporary and multifunctional shopping area. De Gaard is a true neighbourhood shopping centre with 32 stores, whose redevelopment was completed in September 2020. Due to the redevelopment, the shopping centre almost doubled in size. Furthermore, hospitality, (sports) facilities, housing, parking and public spaces have been added. The transformation has further increased the high visitor numbers and high floor productivity. Incumbents have also taken advantage of the redevelopment to invest in their stores.

Shopping centre De Gaard is mainly focused on daily needs; it offers an Albert Heijn and Ekoplaza, fresh food specialists, drugstores, a florist and a liquor store. Redevelopment has added several national retail chains and a gym to the shopping centre. Combined with quality restaurants, the centre has a real neighbourhood function and this prolongs the length of stay.
