Apollo Hotel Utrecht redevelopment plans announced

The Apollo Hotel on the corner of Vredenburg and Lange Viestraat in Utrecht has redevelopment plans. These include refurbishing the existing hotel rooms and the entrance and adding 35 new hotel rooms. The building was built in 1954 as Hotel Smits. It has been designated a protected municipal monument of post-war architecture since 2016. Times have changed and hotels also want to move with the times. Therefore, the building will become more sustainable and energy efficient.
