Groundbreaking Ceremony for LOOF!

Construction of LOOF has officially begun. Yesterday, Delft City Council members Karin Schrederhof and Martina Huijsmans, René Biesheuvel of Gebroeders Blokland, Hans Houweling of Linkwood, Luuk Stoltenborg of Studio Aaan, Jack Ravenstein of Ravenstein Bouwmanagement, and Marvin Hake of Mivendo received a miniature CLT block from Pim Liebregts (Project Manager at Van der Vorm Vastgoed).

LOOF will be built entirely of CLT and will consist of 70 rental apartments (60 two-bedroom and 10 three-bedroom units) spread across five floors. All units will remain in the company’s ownership and are expected to be completed in the third quarter of 2027.

LOOF is being built by Gebroeders Blokland; studio AAAN, in collaboration with Herman de Kovel, created the design. The homes were designed with sustainability as a guiding principle. Thanks to the use of CLT (supplied by Linkwood), the environmental impact is significantly lower, and the material contributes to a healthy indoor climate. Groundwork is now in full swing: the sewer system has been rerouted and expanded, and the first wells for the 70 energy-neutral apartments have been drilled. Piling work began this week, after which the foundation can be laid.

Rentals will begin in the spring of 2027, but those interested can already register at loofdelft.nl.
