Special spring picnic at mall De Gaard

At Shopping Center De Gaard , preparations for the planned expansion and renovation have been hard at work recently. To thank local residents for their effort and involvement, Shopping Center De Gaard, together with owner Van der Vorm Vastgoed Groep, organized a special picnic at De Troosterhof last Saturday. Local residents could enjoy the spring with delicious snacks, drinks and music.

Last Saturday, De Troosterhof was the special location for a real picnic. There were many cheerfully decorated picnic tables where people could sit and relax, while a jazz trio provided atmospheric background music. There was also a grassy area where people with their own picnic blankets could find a nice spot. The many visitors thus enjoyed the warm weather, with a picnic bag of goodies, fresh kibbeling and a glass of non-alcoholic bubbles, made available by the shopkeepers of De Gaard.

Refurbishing schoolyard OBS De Beiaard
The real sweet tooth could visit the stall of OBS De Beiaard. In exchange for a donation one could enjoy delicious cake, cupcakes or cotton candy. In total, the school managed to raise almost €450, thanks to the many snacks sold and a nice donation from Van der Vorm Vastgoed Groep. These proceeds will be used to make a much needed refurbishment of the schoolyard possible.

Shopping center as a meeting place
Shopping center De Gaard strives to provide an attractive meeting place for local residents. To encourage this, regular activities are organized, such as this special spring picnic. In the future too, the shopping center wants to continue to fulfill this role and, where possible, would like to expand even further. Within the redevelopment, the expansion of the range of stores with catering establishments and the layout of the renovated courtyard are therefore important focal points. So that also in the future there will be sufficient opportunities for local residents to meet and participate in fun activities.
