Announcement Redevelopment Shopping Center Copper Mill

We are excited to announce that together with our Project Partners, the Municipality of Leiden, E.CP, EUP Design, Klunder Architects and BGSV, we have started the redevelopment of our shopping center De Kopermolen in Leiden.

Based on a well-balanced area passport that has been established by the municipality of Leiden with the neighborhood, the shopping center will be strengthened in its function as the heart of Merenwijk . The public space around the shopping center will be addressed and the neighborhood park will become a more prominent part of the center. We are committed to sustainability and obtaining a WELL label for the center.

The development will continue to expressly involve the neighborhood. In addition, the current Lidl will be relocated, the passage will become a powerful meeting point for the neighborhood and a number of tiny houses will be built.

The existing residential program will be further expanded by approximately 100 homes partly in the social segment. After development, the shopping center will remain the shopping heart of the Merenwijk with three strong supermarkets (AH, Lidl and Dirk van den Broek) but emphatically also with a good number of strong local and national retailers and more residents on and next to the shopping center!
