Description

The Kopermolen is a largely covered neighbourhood shopping centre in a mixed environment of living and working. The shopping centre has a retail area of approximately 10,000 m² with more than 40 stores and is the second shopping area of Leiden. The range of shops consists of national, regional and local retailers. The branching is very varied. Here, the Kopermolen visitor can obtain all his daily needs. The shopping centre is located in the attractive area Merenwijk with many two-income households and families.

The municipality of Leiden has made a decision on the process around the redevelopment of The Kopermolen. The municipality is starting up a participation process to set the principles for a better plan for the revitalization of The Kopermolen and its surroundings. The college strives for a careful process in which the wishes and interests of stakeholders are widely collected. Together with residents, owners and entrepreneurs they are working towards a memorandum of principles that will serve as a basis for the redevelopment of the Kopermolen. The municipality of Leiden will lead this process.

At www.leiden.nl/kopermolen you will find, among other things, the college decision made on De Kopermolen .
