In the inner garden of Harvest in Loosduinen in The Hague, soon Tiny Houses will be realised: 11 modern, energy-neutral homes with a living area of under 60m2 surrounded by and immersed in the relaxed green environment of the newly-built project.
Tiny Houses offers unique living in a green environment where residents have their own urban garden / courtyard where you can relax, with the conveniences of The Hague within reach.
The Tiny House project consists of 2 types of houses that are going to be built: type A (57m2) with 2 bedrooms and Type B (53 m2) with 1 bedroom and home workplace. The houses achieve an EPC of 0 by means of solar panels on the roof, which means that you live energy neutral. In addition, the houses are provided with wooden facade parts and a private outdoor space adjacent to the shared urban garden of Harvest. In addition to the sustainable character, the house also exudes luxury, due to the architectural design and interaction between the materials.
Near the complex there are all kinds of facilities for obtaining (daily) necessities, as well as for leisure activities. The connection with public transport is also very good, with a tram line in front of the residential complex.
The idea for the project originated from the Tiny House Movement, an architectural and social movement originating in the United States, which promotes simpler living on a smaller living space. The movement also translates into architecture, as more and more small and mini-houses are planned and executed.
The welfare committee has reviewed the plans for the Tiny Houses project and gave a positive recommendation, with great appreciation for the concept, the unity between landscape and buildings and the carefulness with which the project has been conceived.
The first homes will be completed in the 4th quarter of 2020.
