Making Boulevard Haussmann Paris more sustainable
Our beautiful complex on Boulevard Haussmann in Paris, a stunning example of Haussmann architecture, has received a significant upgrade.
Thus, the facade was completely restored and cleaned. The characteristic ornaments have been restored and adjusted. New window frames were also installed with heat and sound insulating glazing. Since this is a historic building, special windows were installed that preserve the authentic look of the building. The beautiful wrought iron railings and zinc roofs have also been restored. The slate roofs were insulated and fitted with new slates.
All this contributes to the energy efficiency of the building. Simon IJsselstein (project director Van der Vorm Vastgoed), speaks proudly of the result. "With this renovation we were able to significantly improve the living experience of our tenants, but also preserve the beautiful original architecture."
Boulevard Haussmann is iconic of Parisian architecture, characterized by its classic Haussmann buildings. This 1863 building, designed by Charles Victor Bartaumieux, is typical of this architectural style with its elegant facades of tall windows, balconies with wrought-iron balustrades and symmetrical lines. Preserving this authentic look was essential in the renovation.
